Draw Analysis: It is a draw with challenges for Western Suburbs who enter their first season under returning coach, Kevin Eynaud. It is an innocuous start with winnable matches against Campbelltown and Sydney Hills Eagles in the first fortnight. The Magpies will need to be at their best to come through a tough three week stretch against St George, Balmain (Anzac Day) and North Shore. They face a similar challenge from Rounds 11 to 13 against UTS, St George and North Shore. They will eye crucial games against Illawarra and Sydney Hills Eagles in the back-end of the season.

Pre-Season Preparations: Western Suburbs started pre-season training under Eynaud on Tuesday 20 November.
