Draw Analysis: Due to ground unavailability, the Students will have three of their first four matches away from home, two of which are against Balmain and Pennant Hills. This is cushioned by the fact they play only one 2012 finalist in North Shore between Rounds 6 and 9. Their toughest test will come following this in Rounds 10 to 13, where they travel to face UNSW/ES, Balmain and St George. Their final two matches are at home.

Pre-Season Preparations: Sydney University were one of the early starters, with NEAFL and Premier Division players commencing training in late October. The club’s lower grades and Colts sides commenced on November 19.
