Draw Analysis: It is a fixture with some challenges for Macquarie University who will look to advance after the ladder after a disappointing 2012 season. It does not get much tougher in the first round with a home clash against Southern Power. They will need to be on their game when they play the three finalists from 2012 in Holroyd-Parramatta (home), UTS (away) and Penrith (home) in Rounds 6 to 8.

Pre-Season Preparations: Macquarie University commenced pre-season on November 12, with a month’s training (twice weekly) before the Christmas break. The club recommence their pre-season training on January 29 with sessions being conducted twice weekly.
