Draw Analysis: Balmain open their campaign against Premier Division debutants, Manly, before facing the two Sydney NEAFL outfits in the following two rounds. They face a tough ask backing up against Western Suburbs on Anzac Day (Thursday) before a nine day break ahead of their Grand Final replay against UNSW/ES in Round 5. The Dockers face the Bulldogs and the side they defeated in the Elimination Final, St George twice. They will play the other finalists, North Shore and Pennant Hills once.

Pre-Season Preparations: Balmain started their pre-season training on Wednesday 5 December, and have been training twice weekly leading into the Christmas break.

Club News (courtesy of club website): Jackson Monk heading to Northern Bullants for pre-season, former player Craig Moller being drafted by Fremantle, confirmation of the Under 18 side heading to Perth to play in curtain-raiser to Fremantle v Richmond.
