Young Hills Eagles defender Etiosa Okunbor (pictured) has capped a very consistent season by winning his first Peter Physick Medal – the Club’s Premier Division Best and Fairest award.
Okunbor, of Nigerian heritage, was presented the award in front of nearly 200-people at a gala function held at the Castle Hill RSL Club. He played 15 Premier Division games for the season, mostly on a half-back flank.
In a further highlight of the night, the Premier Division Best and Fairest was named the Peter Physick Medal.
This capped a very memorable year for Pete who was also awarded Sydney AFL Life Membership at the Phelan Medal night in September.
He took great pride in presenting the medal for the first time alongside Premier Division Coach Michael Sankey.
Okunbor has already expressed his desire to undertake the biggest pre-season of his career and challenge for NEAFL selection in 2013.
