REFEREE UNIFORM CLARIFICATION
Unfortunately some referees have had difficulty understanding what is expected in regards to UNIFORM now that the twice annual Daylight Savings date has past.
Referees can continue to wear the full correct Winter uniform of striped referee shirt, black trousers, black shoes and black socks or alternatively wear the Summer uniform of striped referee shirt, BLACK BASKETBALL SHORTS, predominantly white shoes and white socks.
Shorts are to be the longer BASKETBALL PLAYING STYLE, not the skimpy short running style.
Supervisors are directed to send referees home that fail to wear the correct shorts when wearing the Summer uniform.
Full WINTER uniform must be worn for ALL FINALS in ALL GRADES.
Full WINTER unifor must be worn for ALL VJBL games on a Friday night.
Remember, we should not act or wear anything that draws attention to ourselves as referees.
