Port Melbourne Captain John Baird has been honoured with the Jack McFarlane Medal, awarded to the Best and Fairest player at the Club for Season 2012.
This is the second time that the 32 year old has claimed the award with his standout year resulting in 227 votes, five more than teammate Shane Valenti.
The VFL veteran can add this honour to two others for the 2012 season, after being selected for both the VFL State Team and Team of the Year – both as captain.
The Development Team Best and Fairest award was presented to Jake Allen, who had a dominant season finishing 19 votes clear of Jake Sutcliffe and 20 votes ahead of Toby Plant and Callan Thorton.
