Collingwood VFL Captain Kris Pendlebury has been named as the team’s Best and Fairest player for 2012 at the Club’s Copeland Trophy Awards Night.
In his third consecutive year as captain, Pendlebury had a standout season also being awarded as full back in the Peter Jackson VFL Team of the Year.
In a year that saw Collingwood victorious in only four VFL matches, Pendlebury provided leadership and experience to a young Magpies list.
The 26 year old has now played 93 senior VFL games since debuting with the Bendigo Football Club in 2005. Pendlebury is one of only two players to have played in all five seasons since Collingwood relaunched its stand-alone VFL team in 2008 and this year he was also selected in the VFL State team that defeated the Tasmanian State League in May.
