The two proposed expansion clubs are kicking off their first serious recruitment drive, starting new AFL 9s competitions in the coming weeks.
AFL 9s Chinchilla has a FREE Come n Try on Wednesday October 17, with the official competition beginning on October 24th.
AFL 9s Kingaroy doesn't begin until a week later with the Come n Try on Tuesday October 23 and the competition beginning on October 30th.
AFL 9s in the new, social, non-contact style of the game suitable for everyone over the age of 13, both men and women.
Games are only 45 minutes long and people are encouraged to get their own teams together, much like a social touch football or netball competition.

The two new competitions are further expanding the AFL 9s brand, with Toowoomba's competition kicking off this Wednesday 10th with 7 teams and the Lockyer Valley competition being a few weeks into competition.
