Three former Pennant Hills juniors polled in the top ten in recent Club Best and Fairest counts.
St Kilda veteran, Lenny Hayes (pictured) claimed his third Club Best and Fairest (others in 2003 and 2010) recently, an extraordinary achievement given he was sidelined with a season-ending knee injury in 2011.
At the Sydney Swans' Presentation Night on Friday, Kieran Jack (fourth) and Jarrad McVeigh (fifth) polled behind eventual winner, Josh Kennedy.
Jack and McVeigh, along with former North Shore junior, Lewis Roberts-Thomson played in the premiership-winning Swans lineup.
In other talent news, Lloyd Perris was recently one of four players from the state to partake in the first camp of the AIS AFL Academy Program. Perris participated in testing and training in the first camp in Melbourne before the second camp to be held in Canberra next month.
In addition, a handful of AFL Sydney players took part in the recent combines held in Melbourne. Brandon Jack, Stephen Wray, Brad Plug, Dylan Roos, Jordan Weir and Mitchell Crawford all participated in the one-day combine on Saturday. They will be vying for selection in the NAB AFL Draft to be held on the Gold Coast on November 22.
