Once again this year AFL Capricornia juniors along with AFLQ development staff will be conducting the annual AFL Yeppoon development camp over the 16th 17th and 18th of November. This camp (Only $110) is a chance for the up and coming youngsters of the game to hone their skills over the summer period and for some it will be a chance to impress for the up and coming 2012 representative season.
The camp entails fun games, testing, AFL Games, sessions with guest coaches and coaching skill techniques.
This year we will be getting one of the Gold Coast Suns football club coaches to come up and put the boys through their paces. This will help the boys along in the talent identification process as the Capricornia region is aligned with the Gold Coast Suns academies.
This year we will also be running a coaches seminar with the Gold Coast coach along with the AFLQ development staff. The seminar will include an hour session with our guest coach and an hour and half with the AFLQ development staff going over useful skills and drills to use during the year.
All registered players in the AFLCJ as well as youngsters between the ages of 11 and 16 who have played in our school competitions are invited to attend. It is also suggested that Gold Coast suns academy players attend as part of their weekly summer training. The camp is capped at 60 participants, registrations will be taken on a first in first served basis.
If you can’t wait for the letter or have not received one in the mail and wish to attend please download the letter below and then fill in the nominations form and Return to the AFLQ office ASAP.
