AFL Sydney have announced the Grand Final umpire panels for matches to be played this Saturday at Blacktown International Sports Park.
It will be a new-look panel in Premier Division with Paul Barron, Dean Garroway and Michael Peck named as the field umpires.
NEAFL-listed Barron umpired a Premier Division Grand Final in 2010 while Garroway and Peck will officiate their first top grade decider.
Garroway was named as Umpire of the Year at the Phelan Medal Night last week.
NSW/ACT Umpiring Manager, Graham Glassford acknowledged the achievement of the umpires named to officiate on Saturday.
“The umpires have done a lot of hard work, and as well as the teams playing on the weekend, we wish them well,” Glassford said.
“They understand that while their appointment is a significant achievement, there is still the expectation they perform and represent their group on the weekend.”
