UTS Bats' have claimed the Division Three premiership with a convincing 41-point victory over the Blacktown Magic at Blacktown International Sports Park.
UTS started much the better of the two sides. They kicked their first goal within two minutes, and added three more for the quarter including Henry Baldock's second goal for the quarter- after the siren. Blacktown were held scoreless during this time.
With a slight wind advantage, Blacktown came back in the second quarter- registering their first goal at the six minute mark with Derek Kickett lookalike, Jeff Talbot kicking truly. The highlight of the quarter was a soccer goal to Daniel Clifford.
Like the first quarter, UTS kicked six goals with the wind in the third term to extend their lead to seven goals. Their first goal came in the first minute and they continued the procession after that with assured ball movement and their contested marking a highlight of their play.
The last quarter would see the steam taken out of the contest. Both sides scored three goals each as UTS' nullified Blacktown's wind advantage.
Bats' forward, Simon Horan was named Best on Ground, and along with big man Michael Izhik were focal points for the Bats. Dean Connors led from the front for the Magic.
