Cairns City Lions coach Jason Roe could not make it any clearer. "We're out to knock you off,' he said, ahead of tomorrow's game against second-placed North Cairns. Roe's men will not contest finals, but they want to finish with a bang in the final round of the season. "Their focus has really got to be on their semi-final next weekend, not this weekend. So I want to exploit that and have a real crack,' he said. "I want them to know we'll be coming for them." The Tigers were happy to coast home once they had built a lead after finishing with just 16 fit men against Manunda last week. "I'm not sure how they'll tackle it because it's a dead rubber .... so he'd hate to have any injuries." Roe said. He will be happy to get away from coaching - for a short time at least. "Recruitment is the next thing; it never really stops,"Roe said. "We need to address our lack of depth. We lose five blokes and we get pumped. That needs to change."
