The final AFL Sydney Rising Star Nominee for 2012 is Dane Roberton from Sydney University.
With the Clubs elevation to the NEAFL competition the 20 year old made his Premier Division debut in round one and has not looked back since.
Despite the difficult season, Dane has been a consistent performer across the season.
Versatility is one of Dane’s greatest strengths and resulted in roles all over the ground, from defense to forward as well as the ruck. More recently, Dane’s unwavering effort and a fiercely competitive nature has meant he is regularly looked to when looking at down key opponents.
It was only injury that prevented Dane from playing in the Club’s NEAFL side against Southport on the Gold Coast.
Dane was a member of the Club’s successful Under 18’s teams of 2009 and 2010.
