Port Douglas have re-signed coach Brad Cooper for a further two years as they plan to stabilise a side that trod water in 2012. The Crocs were forced to replace most of their senior squad from last season and were then hit by injuries. At one stage, the club had 14 senior players on the injury list and used more than 90 men in both sides. "We got belted really, we didn't have much luck," president Andy Smith said. "Of course, you'd love to be playing finals, but the plan was always to try to stabilise for next year. "With Coops' early re-appointment, the juniors we've blooded in seniors and the retention of a fair few blokes, we're on track with that." Smith said Port would support the reserves and under-18's in the finals. "They (reserves) were undefeated last season and fizzled out in the finals." he said. "At the end of the day though, it's good signs because we're getting a bit of culture back."
