The Darling Downs Crows under 14 season is still alive after sneaking into the AFL Brisbane Juniors McDonald’s Shield final series.
Darling Downs will play Sherwood at Yeronga AFC at the new home of AFL in Queensland and will be looking to continue their good form and keep season 2012 alive. The Crows are coming off an impressive 20point victory over Redland’s last week and will looking to their big game players to continue to lift.
Coolaroo’s Samuel Copland has been in terrific form all season and is leading the way for the Young Crows. He is also been well supported by Riley Easton, William Grundon and Brendan Shelton.
Darling Downs will need to concentrate in front of goal as they have been erratic all season in front of the sticks. Rissman will be the key target up forward and will now need a side kick to support the Crows goal kicking machine.
An early game might hurt the young Crows mentally as they are kicking off at 8:45am but again the Crows mentality is anyone, anywhere, anytime!
If the Crows can get the right structures and players can get through the local footy games on Saturday unscathed then you will see the young Crows progress to next week. If not, then it will be pack up for the game and prepare for next season.
