The Under 18 Crows have recorded their 13th win of season 2012, wrapping up the home and away season with a 18.14 (122) to 1.1 (7) over the Wynnum Vikings at Rockville Oval on Sunday afternoon.
It was a convincing win and the type of win the Crows wanted leading into the 2012 finals series.
"Today was about tuning up and preparing for our finals campaign while focusing on the task at hand", Crows coach Jeff Neumann said after Sunday's clash.
"We talked about not worrying about finals and wanted to play our brand of footy, which is very damaging and along with this we managed players throughout the game", Neumann also added.
Darling Downs kept Wynnum goal-less in the first half, as the Crows piled on 12 first half goals to put the result out of the Vikings hands. From here the Crows controlled the footy and ran out 115point victors in front of a strong home crowd.
The Crows will now look to next week's clash against the Kenmore Bears in the qualifying final, a big bonus for DD is the game will be played at Rockville as will the 3 v 4 elimination clash between Alex Hills and Yeronga South Brisbane.
"It is a good win for us but we will now re-focus now and concentrate on the next task, Kenmore. We ran out 6 goal victors last time we met, we will definitely need to play four quarters of footy against the Bears". Neumann added.
