Reward your best club Volunteers

In 2012 the Brisbane Lions are offering each Darling Downs Junior Football Club the opportunity to participate in the Guard of Honour at the start of a Brisbane Lions home game as the team runs out.

The Guard of Honour is designed to be a reward for two players from each club if they display core Brisbane Lions values: Relentless, United and Respectful. These are attributes we want all participants in Junior Clubs to maintain as they have been derived from Our Vision - Towards 2016.

This is an opportunity for you to give back to players that never miss a training session, always help to set up and pack up, offer encouragement to team members, are always courteous and respectful and represent your club with high esteem.

How to Enter

Each club is to nominate two players from U12’s to U14’s. Using the attached submission form, tell us in 50 words or less why you have chosen these players. Submissions are due by Friday, 20^th July 2012. Nominations submitted after this deadline will not be considered.

Game Day Details

Once nominations are received, Brisbane Lions will provide more specific details to each club on timings and meeting points for the match day.

Each player nominated is asked to wear their club polo and guernsey whilst in the Guard of Honour to ensure all Junior Clubs are given the opportunity to represent their teams at the Gabba.

We will send a certificate to each player in the week following the game as a memento.

Ticketing

As an integral part of the Lions in Your Clubs program, junior clubs are extended various free tickets and special ticketing offers throughout the season.

These exclusive offers include:

Purchase a three game membership from $75 and receive a fourth game for free (an email will be sent from Brisbane Juniors to all participants in mid-March with details on this offer)
Premiers March free tickets plus special offer for all junior club participants and families (Lions v Suns, Saturday 21 April)
Bernie’s Gabba Gang free ticket plus special offer (offer will be emailed directly to participants in April/May)

Guard of Honour participants and their families can purchase tickets through Ticketmaster by visiting www.ticketmaster.com.au or calling 1300 136 122. A family pass for two adults and two children can be purchased from only $51 or a junior ticket is available from just $8.
