After winning their regional competition at Coffs Harbour against the best schools in North Coast, the St Paul’s boys travelled to Newcastle on Wednesday for the State Finals. After winning all their round robin games, St Paul’s made it to the final against the powerful Knox Grammar school from Sydney. In an awesome display of AFL football the St Paul’s boys completely dominated the final with the final score being St Paul’s 51 to Knox Grammar 17. The St Paul’s u16 team now travel to Blacktown in August to play the best school from GWS Giants Cup under lights – this will be a great experience for the boys. The U14’s also made it to Newcastle and finished a very credable runner’s up.
