SUNS Rising in Chinchilla

The Chinchilla SUNS are endeavouring to be the newest club to become a part of AFL Darling Downs in the 2013 season.

Auskick has been highly successful in the town over the past two years and this success has translated into strong interest to form a new club in the town. Chinchilla has experienced rapid growth over the past couple of years due to the mining boom which has also attracted many new residents from the Southern states.

Obviously starting a new club does not happen without some hard work and the first public meeting will be held next Wednesday June 27^th. Please spread the word to anyone who you think may be interested and get along to show your support for the SUNS! The meeting will be a meet and greet for all involved as well as providing everyone an opportunity to have some questions answered as the club looks towards the magical first weekend in April next year!

The club is endeavouring to field teams in all junior age groups (Under 8s, 10s, 12s, 14s & 16s) as well as senior A Grade & Reserves sides in its inaugural year.
