The Coolaroo AFL Club have joined the list of officially recognised AFL Quality Clubs.
The AFL’s nationally recognised Quality Club Program was rolled out across the state last year and rewards clubs who have outstanding administrative processes.
Coolaroo is just the third club on the Downs to be recognised and one of just twenty across Queensland.
The program offers three levels of achievement for clubs with the Bronze level being the first, allowing clubs to strive towards Silver and eventually Gold status.
The Roos Bronze level accreditation recognises that the club operates in a safe, family friendly environment; runs to sound financial principles and ensures that all volunteers are appropriately qualified.
AFL Darling Downs Club Coordinator, Christopher Davis said it is a great thing for the club to be acknowledged, consolidating all of the hard work that the club have put in over the years.
“Coolaroo has always prided itself on being a fantastic place to play and be involved in football. This accreditation was largely a formality but it is great for them to be officially recognised for their hard work”, Davis said.
With the Silver level recently rolled out across Queensland, Coolaroo will be aiming to achieve greater levels of excellence, ensuring the club becomes an even better place to play and watch football.
