Geelong Rangers 2 Lara 1

Geelong rangers prevailed in the grand final re match 2-1 against Lara. The first half was split with both teams having long periods of possession, untill from a short corner saw Matt Plant tuck one into the far corner to put rangers 1-0. Just before half time Lara lost Shawn Murphy who had to be taken to hospital with a dislocated shoulder.
The second half saw much if the same with both teams sharing possession but the combination and experience of Brad Hardy and Brian Conn in defence kept rebounding Lara's attacks untill a fine through ball by Kieron Moore put Damien Nasta one on one and he made no mistake to make it 1-1.
Lara's fitness was starting to show with moore and priest both missing chances. Then with 2 minutes to go a ball across the Lara box caught the defence flat footed and Andrew Leitch made no mistake in scoring what proved to be the winner. There was enough time for Jacob mills to pull off a full stretch save to deny Kieron Moore what looked like an equalizer.
