WERRIBEE has demolished Burnie by 133 points in their Foxtel Cup contest at Etihad Stadium on Saturday.
The Tigers kicked seven goals to nil in a scoring onslaught in the first quarter to open up a mammoth 57-point lead at quarter-time, and virtually clinch the contest.
They went basically untouched in the last term by putting on a scoring clinic to propel themselves to a gigantic 26.9 (165) to 5.2 (32) victory.
The Tigers' ball movement was precise and their overlap run created plenty of flow in the way they transferred the footy from one end to the other.
Boasting 14 North Melbourne-listed players, Werribee's work-rate was a key to opening up such a significant gap early in the game.
Kangaroos forward Ben Warren epitomised his team's mindset, working up and down the ground to be involved in numerous forward forays.
The result was five goals for the game (four in the first half) as a genuine reward for his hard work.
Ben Speight (18 possessions and three goals) and Levi Greenwood (23 disposals and three goals) ran rampant in the midfield.
Majak Daw kicked three goals and displayed his abundance of talent, while Will Sierakowski (17 touches) provided plenty of rebound from defence.
For Burnie, Trent McRossen had 19 possessions and Zach Mihocek kicked two goals in the second quarter - but other than that the side offered very little resistance for the bulk of the game.
After being shellshocked in the opening quarter, the Dockers stemmed the bleeding somewhat and only allowed two goals to the Tigers in the second quarter.
Forward Zach Mihocek started to present to the ball carrier and two goals in consecutive minutes gave the Dockers something to cheer about.
But the Tigers again upped their intensity in the second half - as coach Scott West urged his players to rise above their opponents and finish the game strongly.
Through hard running and spread from the stoppages, Werribee managed to have a high percentage of its scoring shots straight in front of goal and from within 35m.
To add to the Tigers' dominance, North Melbourne ruckman Majak Daw's goal in the last quarter exemplified their advantage.
Daw took two bounces through the centre corridor and in the process left ex-Essendon ruckman Jason Laycock for dead, as he motored inside 50 and kicked a goal on the run.
The Tigers finished with 12 goals in the second half to emphasise their level of dominance.
