WILLIAMSTOWN has secured gun utility James Wall.
Wall, who was vice-captain at Casey Scorpions last season, put pen to paper with the Victorian Football League's 2011 runner-up last week.
The 25-year-old claimed Casey's best-and-fairest award twice (in 2008 and 2009) in his four seasons at the club and has been named in the VFL team of the year four times.
The 197cm utility will add versatility to the Seagulls' side and his signing complements the additions of former West Coast Eagle Jamie McNamara, crack small defender Michael Stockdale, Clinton Proctor and Sam Myors.
Wall will also be reunited with Williamstown boss Peter German, who coached Casey in 2009.
"We've tried to recruit James over the last two years," Seagulls general manager Brendan Curry said.
"It's probably fair to say that James had, by his standards, a quiet year last year. He's pretty determined to rejuvenate.
"He thinks that the new environment will really spark him and he can be a really key player for us."
