The Warwick Redbacks are already looking to go one step better in 2012 and have launched their new venue at the clubs AGM on the weekend. The ground has been named St Marks Oval and is of the same size as AAMI stadium measuring 165m long by 135m wide. But the most impressive part of the oval is the 12f goal posts which are clearly visible from the road as you enter the town.
Add to this the construction of a new clubhouse at the site and you have a club who are going places. The new clubhouse is looking to go into construction around January / February 2012 and should be ready in time for the 2012 AFL Darling Downs season.
The first game for the Redbacks at their new oval in 2012 will be on Saturday 31st March Vs the Highfields Lions
