A huge crowd of Warwick supporters made the trip to Toowoomba hopeful the club could secure its first premiership but the Redbacks' lack of experience was exposed late as the Tigers' big match players took control.
With scores 36-32 in Tigers' favour at the half, it was still anyone's game. But the wheels fell off for Warwick in the final two quarters, the Redbacks conceding a number of free-kicks as they became increasingly frustrated with Tigers' rock-solid defence.
When Nick Packer scored for Tigers on three-quarter time to put scores at 51-34, the Redbacks' chances were slowly slipping away.
Any faint hopes Warwick had were killed off in the final quarter with two goals to Jeremy Price and a spectacular goal from 50m out by John Wilson.
Price was outstanding for Tigers in the forward 50, kicking four majors, while defender Drew Gatfield snuffed out a number of Warwick attacking raids.
But Tigers' mid-fielder Luke Adams was a class apart, racking up possession after possession in a tireless display which earned him best-on-ground honours.
Tigers coach Andrew Farr was unsurprised the lack of finals experience came back to hurt Warwick.
"The experience of playing in a grand final, you can not comprehend how much that is an advantage," Farr said. "We're very proud (to go back-to-back). What a fantastic effort from all the players."
Warwick coach Peter Millard struggled to find an answer for his side's second half performance.
"I think Tigers just wanted it more ... they're a bunch of kids, let's hope they learn from this," Millard said.
