West End got off to a good start by winning the toss. As expected, this game started with both backlines repelling any attack from either side. No side was giving an inch, and all possessions were under a lot of pressure from the defenders. West End's Nathan Catherwood was unlucky not to score the first goal, with his kick finding the woodwork and opening their account with a behind. West End kept on attacking, but TEDAS backline was holding firm, and at quarter time, West End lead 0-3-3 to no score.
The start of the second quarter was much the same as the first, as neither team as able to get on top. The first goal of the game after a big torp from Liam "Lloydy" Barry found its way to Abishek Parekh, who had a snap on his left foot but it was smothered by close checking TEDAS defence, bu Abishel recovered first and had another crack with his trusty left foot and managed to evade the defenders this time and notch the first major fo the game. It wasn't long after, that "Lloydy" Barry took a good strong mark within range, and with his trusty left foot as well, he kicked West End's second major and extend their lead to 15 points. TEDAS ctinued to mount many challenges, and Matt "The Rock" Williams and Jake Sands were nearly stopping all advances. TEDAS's Mitch Dykes had a half chance to kick a goal off the ground, but the pressure was too fierce, and their first score was a behind, and that being the end of the scoring for the quarter, with West End leading 16 to 1.
The third quarter, the all important "premiership" quarter was going to highlight the skills of some of the better players from both teams. West End got the all important start, with Jayden Burrows finding himself with the ball within range in the first 60 seconds and kicking a goal. A key move was that of Jake Sands into the ruck for West End, as from the restart, he found himself with the ball, and with a lovely "don't argue" fend off, he sent the ball long to his Captain, "Lloydy" Barry, who with his favourite left boot calmly slotted another goal for the West End team. TEDAS boys continued to put in, with Tom Fleming, Lachlan Pawson, Nathan Heard and Tom Stockdale all giving their best. Another good piece of work from Jake Sands in the middle saw the ball end up with Linus Rodda, who kicked his first for the day, and extending their lead to 42 points. Another highlight for this quarter was the "specky" taken by Nathan Catherwood, but he was also injured as part of the contest.
TEDAS Coach Jason just asked his team to continue to do what they had done all year, and that was give their best and with soem luck the rewards will come, ad the message was much the same in the West End camp from Peter. Full credit to both teams, as this quarter was just like the first, with neither team able to dominate and the defences standing firm. Ryan Thompson from West End kicked their only goal for the quarter, whereas after much effort from all their players, Mitch Dykes managed to score a goal for TEDAS. This would be the last major scored, and West End running out winners and Premiers for 2011, 7-10-52 to 1-1-7.
Best on Ground as judged by the Umpires was Matt "The Rock" Williams of West End.
