2011 Annual Dynasty Summer Basketball Camp Day 1

Third year, day 1. Today like all day ones had its own little but not negligible challenges. Talk of leaving banners behind, going to Lincoln Community School,(Abelemkpe) to check if any camper might unknowing found themselves there as a result of not knowing about the change of venue to the Lizzy Sports Complex in East Legon.

Forget all that; now enter the 2011 Dynasty camp proper!

With campers briefed by coaches about this year's camp, Coach Isaac started day off with dynamic warm ups and stretches before campers were split into age groups. The three coaches present each got a group and then quickly run them through some skills dygnosis to help them the skill level of the campers in their groups.

Like Dynasty basketball do it every time, campers were taken through various fundamentals in basketball in a very fun and easy to learn environment at three different stations. Thank God for the wonderful African sun shine and a pretty venue, which just added to the kinda aura needed to keep everyone cool on day one.

The video session which came on between the morning and afternoon practice session basically summed up the day. With videos of various athletes talking about hard work and good work ethic, campers were talked through the importance of these traits in helping one succeed in this very enjoyable sport of basketball by coach Feranmi.

Great day today but with many of us, if not all of us hoping for a less stressful day on tomorrow.. All that can be said right now is... Can't wait for day 2!!!
