THE BETH SERLE FUNCTION ROOM Officially Opened
DREAM COME TRUE.
Basketball Mount Gambier opened the new Canteen Kitchen upgrade last Thursday July 28th 2011.
This refurbishment came to fruition as a result of a Sport and Recreation Grant received from the City of Mount Gambier and the absolutely outstanding “in kind” contribution and efforts of local businesses and many dedicated volunteers. It was a truly magnificent effort from all involved under the leadership of Board Member and Project Manager Ray deWit. In appreciation and recognition of his long term and valued assistance Mr Greg Muller Chief Executive Officer of the City of Mount Gambier performed the Official Opening.
It is now planned to focus on Stage 2 of the upgrading of the Canteen Area which includes a viewing area at the end of the main court of the Stadium.
The Board of Basketball Mount Gambier took this opportunity to name the Canteen area as “The Beth Serle Function Room” in recognition of her years of volunteer work with the Association.
