NEW BIG V WOMEN'S COACH ANNOUNCED
Kate Mitchell has officially accepted the position of Head Coach of the women's Big V program for Season 2006.
A product of the Victorian Country junior program and the CVIBL, Kate brings over 20 years of playing experience with her. The last 6 years have seen Kate involved with the Hume City (Broadmeadows) program as a player (SEABL/BIG V) and assistant coach of the Big V Youth League team.
Kate will combine her playing and coaching experience with her knowledge acquired from a Human Movement degree to offer the LTU women a total development package for 2006 and beyond.
Kate wants to bring a level of professionalism that is justified with the Big V's standing as an elite level competition. In a handout created for players from last seasons team, Kate states 4 of her main values being team, commitment, respect and work ethic.
Tryouts for the women's Big V team will be:
Tuesday 13th December at 8.30pm - 10.00pm
Thursday 15th December at 7.00pm - 8.30pm
Players interested in joining the Women's Big V program in 2006 are welcome to turn up at the times indicated or may contact the club at basketball@latrobe.edu.au for more information.
Whilst current and ex LTU students are desirable, anyone is welcome to tryouts.
Students who have applied for enrolment at La Trobe University in 2006 are encouraged to contact the club to receive more information
