One big Dynasty Basketball Clinic in Kumasi

On the 4th of June 2011 Dynasty Basketball Association held its first basketball clinic in Kumasi at the Mount Olivet School in the Ashanti Region. After 3years of organizing various basketball clinics and camps in Accra none of the turnouts in the past years could be compared to our first basketball clinic in Kumasi. We had our biggest number of participants at one event in Kumasi. A place which has received little attention when it comes to basketball development. This lack of attention has definately not killed the passion and enthusiasm kids in Kumasi have for the great game of basketball.

A total of 140 kids from the ages of 7yrs - 14years boys and girls participated in the one day basketball clinic in Kumasi dubbed " Dynasty Art of Balling Clinics". Participants went through a total of 7 Stations were they received various training and developemnt. The Staions included Defense,Dribbling,Shooting, Student Athlete Guidance, Plyometrics, Video & Life Skills, and Team Building. With our new player development stations of our objective remained the same which is to guide kids to play on a strong foundation in the areas of their fundamental skills, Fitness and Health, Character and Social Values, Academics, and interest and experience in basketball. The kids and coaches had great fun through out the 5hour programme. We also spotted a couple of great young basketball prospects both boys and girls who with continuous development can become successful student athletes.

Dynasty's presence in Kumasi will continue as we are working towards a long term partnership to run year round basketball development programmes in the Ashanti Region. Big thanks to God who made everything work together for our good, and also big thanks to all coaches and last but very important to Mount Olivet School the host of the clinic.
