Northern Adelaide Clash - Women

You’d think that 5th plays 6th would produce a close encounter, but it didn’t.

Instead it produced a walloping for the North Women’s team by debut coach Ben Todd’s Central’s women’s team.  The 13 point win was kind to the North girls, who lost Jo Hill early and could not find range from the field.  2 from 26 three-point attempts does not make a winning environment.

Jo Hill didn’t trouble the statisticions, which is unusual, but Alisha Heglund was dangerous with 19 (game high) whilst jess Mahoney was the stand-out with 13 points, 11 rebounds, and 9 assists.

It was a great “home-coming” for Ben Todd, and brother Adam, both of whom played a lot of basketball for North.

The final score-line was flattering to North after late charges from Kirsty Williams (15 points) Shannon McKay with 13 points and Jess Smart (9 points and 10 rebnounds).
