UNISA Basketball Visit

The University of SA Men’s and Women’s Basketball teams are visiting Mount Gambier for exhibition matches against the Lakers teams on Saturday May 28thThe UniSA teams are preparing for the Australian University Games being held on the Gold Coast in October.

UniSA will select the representative visiting teams from teams which play in competitions in the metropolitan area. Scott Forman has been appointed to coach the Women’s league team and Tim Muehlberg for the Men’s league.  Country Basketball League Coach Kym Hammond is in charge of the Lakers Men and Sonya Knight will coach the Women.

Schedule for the games are:
6 p.m. Women’s game
8 p.m. Men’s game

Full canteen and bar facilities will be available to patrons.

Local referees educator and presenter, Ali Jones and Score Table Coordinator Lew Parsons plan to use the games as part of their education program for their respective groups.

Following the success of the Country League home games, organizers are looking for a large crowd of spectators to watch and support the local players in these exhibition games.
