After what seems like an eternity, the rain has stopped and a full round of football will be played this weekend.
With Mortimer Oval still closed, the Lismore/Byron game has been transferred to Schultz Oval Bangalow. With the rain & ground closures both teams have been unable to train for a few weeks now and with last weeks round washed out following the Easter break both teams should be lacking in the fitness department. Lismore went down to Ballina in Round 3 whilst Byron took it up to the reigning premiers Tweed Coast before going down in a tough encounter. This should be the match of the round.
Nimbin are at home to the Tweed Coast in what is an important match for their club. Nimbin will be hoping this game will see the players who have stated their support turn up and honour that committment. Failure to come up with the numbers could mean this week will, sadly, be the last the Demons play in the competition.
On Sunday Coolangatta will host Ballina at Kirra. The Blues have had problems with numbers in the few outing this year but the home game should see a better turnout. The Bombers, after their good win over Lismore before Easter, should be too settled for the Blues.
