LYVNA Shines at Golden City Bendigo Tournament
Another tournament, another strong performance by our LYVNA Rep teams.
We had 6 teams (3 x 15U and 3 x 13U) represent our Association at the Golden City Tournament in Bendigo. The Bendigo tournament is one of the strongest country tournaments and it's a good opportunity for our girls to play against different associations.
We ended up with all but one team reaching the finals.
- Our 15U-1 and 13U-1 teams went through the entire day undefeated to win the Grand final and continue with their dominant performances.
- Our 13U-2 team finished second in their pool, reached the Semi finals but were defeated by our 13U-1 team.
- 15U-2 and 13U-3 also finished second in their pool but were knocked out at the quarter finals
- Our 15-3 team performed well during the day to finish 4th in what was a very strong pool
The Bendigo tournament doesn't have grades, with all teams in each age group playing in the one grade so it was a fantastic effort, especially by our team 2's and 3's, to reach the finals. Many of our 2's and 3's played and beat other association team 1's.
