Heroic Hill not able to stop Lady Bearcats
Every now and then a game comes along that has everything – suspense, drama physicality and just sheer excitement. Saturday night’s women’s game between North and West had all this, and then some.
Quarter by quarter the teams fought through lead changes with North having a sensational third quarter, with some of the best defence you’ll ever see.
Perhaps, the sheer physical effort took its toll with West overhauling the lady Rockets in the dying moments of the game, seventeen points that quarter to North’s seven.
Some great efforts came out of the game with West’s Nikita-Lee Martin being the game high scorer with 16 points and 11 rebounds.
The perennial professional Jo Hill also had a great night with fourteen points and a colossal nineteen rebounds.
If ever there was a case to keep the game local this spectacle would be part of that.
