MEN’S A RESERVE
Bullets took control and dominated from the opening minutes of the Men’s A Reserve Grand Final. Bulldogs, after their commendable win over Panthers last Monday, missed the experience of Coach Dale Tiller on court. The young guns subsequently struggled against the skills and strength of their opponents.

WOMENS A RESERVE
An extra five minutes was required to crown the premier of the Women’s A Reserve competition for this season. The two Panthers teams fought out a close, high standard contest in which the teams took turns to grab the momentum for periods.

Both teams suffered setbacks; Gold was missing Sam Loughhead on state duties and Purple was reduced to five after injuries to Evonne Patzel and Danielle Kettle in the opening minutes. Purple looked likely to win in regulation time but a “not to be beaten” Abby Loughhead led her side into overtime. The teams were so even that just one turnover gave Purple the break, 48-46, and the title. It was a high standard contest and players were commended on the spirit in which it was played. Kathryn Facey of Purple was judged MVP of the final.
