The Labrador Tigers have convincingly beaten a young Crows side by 69-points at Rockville Oval on Sunday afternoon. Toowoomba was restricted to only 20 players with late withdrawals of key players due to injury.
The 19.7 (121) to 8.4 (52) score line was obviously one-sided but the young Crows showed more spirit in their first hit out of 2011 and provided a contest, while the Tigers were sloppy and wasteful at times.
On-ballers Jacob Frampton and Lachlan Dignan were outstanding through the midfield and won clearances for the day 24 to 16. The Crows lacked a key forward at times and it was ruckman Sam Moyle who stood up and booted 4 of Toowoomba's 8 goals, while Scott Blake chipped in with 3 and small forward Liam Cox was able to boot home 1 major.
Captain Matthew Waltisbuhl and fellow defender Liam Henderson were also fantastic with their hard running and rebound play. It was the pace of the Tigers and a good forward structure that troubled the Crows through-out the match.
