With footy season not far away, AFL Queensland development staff officially launched the 2011 season in front of strong crowd at Regents on the Lake on Friday.
Development Manager Keith Webb who co-hosted the night with offside Jeff Neumann said," It was great to see so many people turn up for the launch of 2011 footy season. It's been a big year already for the downs, with the Lions visiting back in March and the announcement of the Darling Downs BRisbane Lions academy in January. This year is looking bigger and better then any before".
AFLDD senior partners Allied Pickfords announced a new sponsorship incentive to help provide a reward for the regions hard working volunteers and much appreciated by the senior executive.
Round 1 of football kicks of this Saturday (26/3) at various venues around the Darling Downs, be sure to get around and watch another great season of footy.
