During the afternoon session on day one of the Telstra AFL Community Camp, local footy fans were treated to meeting the entire Brisbane Lions squad and coaching staff. With hundreds of local footy fans turning up for the 2 hours of fun, they were able to play games with their favourite stars like Bomb the teacher, mad eagle, speccie the pack and kicking at goal lessons also.
Lions veteran Luke Power said it was great to lift the spirits of the communities that have been through the tough times recently.
"It's fantastic to be in regional areas, like Toowoomba here, that have had a hard time recently and that people can put faces to names and have access to the players because they don't get that opportunity out here much", Luke Power said to AFL.com.au video.
After the action packed super clinic, the autograph and photo session was under way and everyone who came along were able to get every Brisbane Lions players autograph and get their photo taken. Bernie 'GABBA' Vegas was also on hand to entertain footy fans and hand out Brisbane Lions only Community Camp show bags.
