In typical uni style, players ummed and ahhed about playing but eventually 2 squads made it to Latrobe Valley for the 2005 Southern Uni Games. Both sides included significant talent however the depth normally present in other years was lacking. Nevertheless, both teams gave their all and qualified for the Nationals. With much room for improvement and for team additions, LTU will be a real threat for gold at the Australian Uni Games in September.
