Hampton has
won the Division 3 Grand Final over Mount Waverley at Meade Reserve on Saturday.
With
nothing between the teams at half-time, Hampton kicked away in the second half
to run out 51 point winners.
The Jim
Meneilly Medal for Best on Ground went to Number 23 Michael Scott (Hampton) who
kicked an impressive 10 goals 2 behinds for the day.
In other
results on the day, Mount Waverley were comfortable winners over Dandenong in the Reserves.
Dandenong
never looked a serious threat with a goalless first half and Mount Waverley
finished with a 56 point win.
The Stan Le
Lievre Medal for Best on Ground went to Number 43 Nicholas Hayes (Mount
Waverley).
Chelsea
Heights and Mount Waverley displayed some of the best Thirds football we have
seen all year.
With not
much between the two teams all year, Chelsea Heights controlled the game after
quarter time and ran out 38 point winners.
The
Lloyd-Griffiths Medal for Best on Ground went to Number 57 Sean Diggeden
(Chelsea Heights).
