Tall Blacks Improve World Ranking
ISTANBUL (2010 FIBA World Championship) – The Eight-Final Round of the 2010 FIBA World Championship came to a close on Tuesday night and the teams that did not advance to the Quarter-Finals have been ranked.
Brazil, who came up just short against rivals Argentina in arguably one of the best game of the tournament so far, finished ninth, a significant improvement on their 17th place four years ago, with Australia rounding out the top 10.
2006 Silver Medallists Greece have to settle for 11th place following their loss against defending world champions Spain in a rematch of the final in Saitama.
