JUNIOR BASKETBALL CAMP.
The annual SA Country Junior Basketball for the southern region of Country SA will be held in Mount Gambier from September 26th to 28th.
Junior basketballers from the Keith, Bordertown, Naracoorte, Millicent and Mount Gambier Associations will be attending.
The live-in Camp is for players born in 1998 and 1999, who are members of local Development Programs and have obvious skills in the fundamentals of the game.
Personal qualities such as commitment to improve and a desire to reach high playing standards are also sought in the applicants.
It is an ideal opportunity for junior basketballers who aim to represent SA Country at future national events and to be part of training sessions run by some of the best SA Country coaches.
The Camp will be run by SA Country Development Manager Jason Bald and Development Officer Peter Todd. State Coaches and local Coaches will also be involved in the Program. This Camp provides local coaches with the chance to assist on the floor, learn what is expected at this level and improve their coaching skills.
Invitations have been sent out to Mount Gambier junior basketballers and coaches. Numbers are being finalized during this week.
