The Darling Downs have produced two more Queensland representatives for 2010 with school girls Aishlin Killeen and Selena Puruntatameri selected into the Queensland under 18 Youth Girls representative team. Selena Puruntatameri is currently boarding at Downland’s College in Toowoomba and is from the Tiwi Islands in far north Queensland while Aishlin has just recently moved to the area from New South Wales.
Both Girls have exceptional skills and love Australian Rules football, stay tuned for results from the National Carnival.

This Saturday seven girls from the Youth Girls Toowoomba Crows training program will play for the Gold Coast Stingrays against the Western Thunder in the Under 18 Quest Newspaper Grand-Final to be played at Giffin Park, Saturday morning at 9:30am. These seven girls are Caitlyn Huth and Tarni Higgins from the Lockyer Valley Demons, Sarah Mengel from the Toowoomba East Stingers and Rebecca Waltisbuhl, Brooke Parry, Tiah Barham and Aishlin Killeen from the rookie recruitment system. Best of luck to the girls this Saturday, stay tuned for results.
Calling for GIRLS!!!
AFL Queensland are calling for Girls who are interested in Australian Rules football and are aged 13 to 16, to attend the Darling Downs trial day on Sunday 5th September. The trials commence from 9:30am and are a-part of the selection process for the Gold Coast/Darling Downs representative squad to travel to Cairns in mid October.
