MATCH REPORT:
TEDAS, 4th, took on City Juniors 3rd, hoping to improve on their Round 14
performance which saw City Juniors victorious by 65 points. The first quarter
was a very even affair, with neither team able to take control, with TEDAS
holding a slender 2 point lead at the first break. TEDAS had their kicking
boots on, as they managed to kick 4 goals 1 to 2 goals in the second quarter
and extend their lead to 15 points. City Juniors came out firing in the
third quarter, having 8 scoring shots to 3, but only managing 3 majors, and
making it anyone’s game, with the scores even at the last break. The last
quarter TEDAS created a couple of extra opportunities resulting in goals
and getting the win in a great contest to run winners by 11 points.

MATCH REPORT:
This game was also a battle where the two teams played each other in Round
14, with west End coming out on top. West End were primed and got the jump
on Southside, with 10 scoring shots to 3 to open up a commanding 27 point
lead at quarter time. Southside upped the ante in the second quarter and
added a couple of goals, but West End added a further 4 goals, extending
their lead to 39 points. West End put the foot down in the all important
third quarter, putting the game out of reach of Southside, finishing off
strongly in the final quarter for a commanding win. Full credit to both
teams, as neither stopped trying all day, with the Southside boys never
giving up.
Congratulations to Lachlan grant, who played his 100th game today.
Fantastic effort that!

MATCH REPORT:
This game was always going to be a great battle and did not disappoint.
The opening quarter was played at a cracking pace, as West End demonstrated
from the outset their endeavour to win the ball in the contest and push the
ball forward. It created scoring opportunities, with them scoring the first
goal of the game, by the Combined Saints boys fought back to lead by 5
points at quarter time. The second quarter was nearly a repeat of the first,
with Combined managing to outscore West End by a goal and hold a 14 lead at
the long break. The third quarter belonged to west End, with some pivotal
coaching moves, the West End boys applied much scoreboard pressure during
this term to take the game right up to Combined Saints, outscoring them 4
goals to 1, and hold a five point lead going into the last quarter. The
last quarter was a real arm wrestle, with neither team able to gain any
ascendancy. With fice minutes left to play, West End held onto a five point
lead, but the Combined Saints boys managed to find something at the end and
add two goals and snatch a win by 8 points over a very gallant West End
team.

MATCH REPORT:
Another close game was expected here and the crowd was not disappointed.
The game opened up with both teams able to create scoring chances, but
Cumberland Park did not have their kicking straight boots on, as they
managed five behinds for the quarter, while Churchill kicked 2 goals 4 and
hold an 11 point lead. The boys from Cumberland Park hit back in the second
quarter, tightening their defence and restricting Churchill’s ventures
forward, while kicking straight them selves, with Churchill holding a 1
point lead at half time. In the premiership quarter, Cumberland Park created
more opportunities to score, adding 5 goals to 2 for the term, leading by 16
points going into the last quarter. Churchill came out firing in the last
quarter, looking to reduce the margin, but with some great defensive
pressure, Cumberland Park managed to hold on and win through by 13 points
in a very entertaining game of footy.

MATCH REPORT:
This was always going to be a close game, with West End inflicting Combined
Saints only loss for the year. Combined Saints made all the play in the
first quarter, but were unable to capitalize due to some pressure from the
West End backs, kicking 1 goal 4 to 1 goal and lead by 4 points at the first
break. The second quarter was much the same, with neither team able to
create any scoreboard pressure as both backlines held firm and only 3 scores
recorded for the quarter, one being a goal for Combined Saints, who had
extended their lead by that margin at half time to 10 points. It was a real
arm wrestle this game, as neither team seemed to be able to make inroads
against the tight marking all over the ground, with scoring chances very
hard to come by. West End kicked a goal and held Combined Saints goalless in
the third quarter, with the margin being 6 points the difference going into
the last quarter. Combined Saints kids steeped up in the quarter to provide
more run and creativity which resulted in them kicking 2 goals to one in the
last quarter, and hold on to win 33 to 19 in a terrific game.

MATCH REPORT:
With Southside sneaking into the finals by less than 3 percent, they were
out to prove they weren’t there to make up the numbers. TEDAS had been very
consistent throughout the year and kicked the only goal of the first quarter
to hold a slender 4 point lead at the end of the first quarter. Southside
stepped up the pressure in the second, restricting the opportunities for the
TEDAS forwards, while getting the ball forward themselves to kick two goals
and take a 8 point lead into half time. The third quarter was much the same
as the first half, as neither team was able to gain the ascendancy, with
Southside managing another goal to extend their lead to 14 points. In the
last quarter, Southside took control and were never headed, doubling their
own score and restricting TEDAS to just 1 goal for the quarter, to run out
comfortable winners.

MATCH REPORT:
Pax Hill got the jump on West End in the first quarter, kicking the only
two goals of the first quarter to lead by 10 points. The second quarter,
West End picked up their attack at the ball, forcing the Pax Hill kids to
kick under pressure, but each team managed a goal, but Pax Hill also managed
5 behinds, to hold a 15 point lead at half time. The third quarter, neither
team was letting up, as both forward lines were unable to get on top, and
both teams scoring 1 goal 1 for the term. The last quarter was fantastic as
the kids continued to give their all, West End looking to reduce the margin,
and Pax Hill looking to hold on. Unfortunately for West End, they just could
not peg back that lead, and went down in a very spirited contest by 14
points to Pax Hill.

MATCH REPORT:
Having beaten each other during the year, this game was always going to be close and go either way. Police Boys started the stronger and more accurately, as they jumped to a 2 goal lead by quarter time, kicking 3 goals to 1 goal 1 in the first quarter. Police Boys continued to attack and the Combined Saints kids stood tall, repelling many attacks, but unable to make inroads on the scoreboard, with Police Boys leading by 3 goals at half time. In the third quarter, the Combined Saints kids came out firing, reducing the margin by kicking 4 goals in an outstanding display of team footy, but Police Boys to their credit continued to plug away, kicking two goals as well, setting up a cracker of a last quarter, with Police Boys leading 43 to 40 at three quarter time. In the last quarter, Police Boys were able to regroup and apply scoreboard pressure and restrict Combined Saints scoring chances, to run out winners 58 to 40 in a very entertaining game.
