The Tweed Coast Tigers continued their excellent form with the thrashing of the second pkaced Byron Magpies at Pottsville running out winners 26.12 (178) to 8.7 (55). As they did against Lismore last week, the Tigers were quick out of the blocks to virtually set up their win in the first quarter.
Ballina Bombers were at home to the Lismore Swans and they also continued their improved form to run out winners 12.12 (84) to 9.13 (67). The Bombers are nearing full strength and on present form are the only team capable of pushing the minor premiers in the finals. They now hold second spot on percentage over Byron and would appear set to hold on to the souble chance.
Nimbin received their first points for the season when Coolangatta were unable to get a side to Nimbin.
