While numbers were slightly down on last year the day was still a great success with AFLQ staff conducting sessions ranging from team bonding activities to an Amazing Race style group challenge.
All participants received a football, water bottle and beanie at the opening of the day with the beanie coming in very handy with the cold conditions. All participants also won a prize at sideshow alley later in the day and every child left with a show bag full of AFL goodies.
The highlight of the day was the round robin games played by the U10-14 age group where the blue and red team played off in an epic final match.
Thank you to Sharyn Carnahan who once again volunteered her time to help out with various tasks on the day but the biggest thank you goes to the participating children whose attitude and behaviour was outstanding all day.
