2010 WRFL Unsung Hero-Carmel Cooper
The Yarraville Seddon Eagles are enjoying a good season on the field and it is thanks to people like this weeks Unsung Hero nomination Carmel Cooper.
Administrator Jeff King wrote in his nomination “Carmel has been a loyal volunteer at Yarraville Seddon Eagles for ten years. In the earlier years Carmel was on the committee of the then Yarraville Juniors whilst also performing in roles such as team manager and trainer. When not involved with team responsibilities on match days Carmel could be found working in the canteen. Since the merger of Yarraville Juniors with Yarraville and Seddon Football Clubs to become Yarraville Seddon Eagles, Carmel has held the role of Junior Vice President. With ten junior teams Carmel is very busy, still acting as trainer and managing the canteen, but can still be found helping the senior section of the club at home games. The junior section of Yarraville Seddon Eagles fields junior cricket teams in summer and Carmel is also involved in this activity. So she gives to the club and her community all year, not just during footy season. Carmel also watches her beloved Bulldogs when they are playing in Melbourne, or on TV when they are playing interstate. A true football tragic who is a wonderful asset to Yarraville Seddon Eagles”.
Congratulations Carmel on your nomination and your contribution. The winner of the Unsung Hero Award will be announced at the Division One Grand Final Lunch. Send your nominations to Kevin Hillier kevin@howdypartnersmedia.com.au and include a photo in jpeg or similar format
